THE PURPOSE

Thracian Roots is a music and multimedia project about the timeless war between good and evil. It forges a sonic fusion between ancient Thracian/Slavic folk vibes, and the electronic industrial world. The songs include potent lyrics that tell Christian-influenced stories about the modern world with brutal honesty.

• It is a reflection of our existence in this spiritual war zone.
• It is an auditory documentary of the perilous gauntlet we all must cross.
• It is a fearless indictment against the powers and principalities of the devil, its demons, and its many earthly servants.
• It is a testimony to the power of God’s will for us to prevail over evil, and for His divine love and mercy as described by Jesus Christ.

The musical style is broad and diverse, with some albums blending modern folk/rock/metal and neoclassical layers. Others include a unique fusion of ancient Byzantine, Slavic, and Turkic folk flavors with a post-modern industrial rock-metal-rap edge. Thracian Roots even did a country song once… “Virgin in Virginia”… LOL!

Thracian Roots music often involves collaborative works with other musicians. A number of songs include featured artists as well as some hired session musicians.
